A Benefit Performance for
Cape Fear River Watch
The 16th Annual Arts Sensation is cruising in for a lively and entertaining evening showcasing local talent for a music and dance spectacular to benefit Cape Fear River Watch. Featured musical group The Port City Trio has been entertaining Wilmington audiences for twenty years. Billed as “The biggest little band in town”, this group consists of Kelly Jewell on guitar and lead vocals, Woody Dobson on percussion, Wilson Godwin on bass and Julia Walker Jewell on keyboard. All of the band members sing, often in harmony, to deliver their unique renditions of standards from the Great American Songbook. Mixed with a healthy dose of blues, originals and R&B favorites, the Port City Trio remains a local favorite.

Young performers from Snipes Academy of Arts and Design will perform a dance piece choreographed by Jeneen Cleare to music by Cold Play. Feel your senses move with the currents with an enchanting Belly Dance entitled “Taking Flight”, performed by Kelly Hawes to music composed and performed live by Perry Smith.
